Asiimwe Herbert Bids Emotional Farewell to Buwambo United

Asiimwe Herbert, affectionately known as "Camavinga", has officially bid farewell to Buwambo United, the team he joined in the 2023-24 season. The talented player's impressive performance made him the team's second-highest goal scorer, catching the attention of top league teams.

In a heartfelt statement, Asiimwe expressed gratitude to the coaches, technical team, and fellow players for their support during his time at Buwambo United. 


"I thank the coaches/technical team, fans and fellow players... I thank the coaches who worked hard to see me reach where i am now" he said.

Asiimwe's exceptional form at Buwambo United earned him a transfer to Wakiso Giants, a top league team, where he has already made a significant impact, scoring three goals in just three games.

Before making his debut for Wakiso Giants, Asiimwe had joined  with Buweekula FC in the Buganda Masaza Cup 2024, where he has had a successful stint helping the team reach the semi-finals.

In his farewell message, Asiimwe wished Buwambo United success in the upcoming season, praying for the team's qualification to the Big League.

"I pray for my team Buwambo to qualify for Big League in this upcoming season in God's name" 

Asiimwe concluded his message by thanking the coaches and players, expressing hope for a future reunion. 

"I want to thank the entire Buwambo Team for the support. I will be grateful if God wishes us to meet again and work together."

Buwambo United will undoubtedly miss Asiimwe's passion, commitment skills on the pitch, but his legacy and contributions to the team's growth will be remembered.
